Tourist license to rent a property on the Costa Blanca
Do I need a tourist licence to rent a property on the Costa Blanca?
If you are considering buying a house on the Costa Blanca as an investment, it is important to know the current legislation on tourist rentals in the Valencian Community, especially in highly demanded areas such as Moraira, Benissa, Jávea | Xàbia, Calpe | Calp, Altea and Benitachell.
Currently, a home for tourist use is considered to be one that is rented for 10 days or less to the same tenant. For these cases, it is mandatory to register the property in the Tourism Registry of the Valencian Community and obtain a tourist license.
However, if the rental is made for more than 10 consecutive days, the regulations do not consider it a tourist rental, so it is not necessary to obtain such a license. This model is becoming popular among landlords because of its legal simplicity and because it tends to attract tenants with a more stable and respectful profile of the property.
At Holidaydream Homes Costa Blanca we are exclusively dedicated to the sale of properties on the Costa Blanca North, and we do not manage rentals. However, we always offer transparent and up-to-date advice to help you make purchasing decisions with complete legal certainty.
If you are looking to invest in a property on the Costa Blanca or want more information about the applicable regulations, we will be happy to assist you.
